The European project DDMATH to promote the use of new technologies to support blind students in science in the classroom and in distance learning
Thursday, 25 November 2021
- Time: 14:00 - 15:00 Rossini Hall
The aim of DDMATH is to promote the use of new technologies to support blind students (primary, secondary, university) in order to improve accessibility to scientific disciplines in the school environment, both in the classroom and in distance learning. Working strategies are usually linked to traditional tools (such as the cubarithm, dactylorithmic or Braille embossed paper text), but recently new computer tools have appeared that are rich in compensatory functions for writing and 'doing' mathematics in Braille, from simple entry and solving of arithmetic expressions to algebra and more complex subjects.
